On 30.11,
Guido Kangur and Oleg Pissarenko will take the stage of the Holdre Castle and Estonian National Piano Museum hall.

This concert evening combines Estonian poetry classics and minimalist music.
Texts by Doris Kareva, Tõnu Ènnepalu, Jaan Kaplinski, Juhan Viidingu, Aleksander Suumani and other authors will be heard, as well as Oleg Pissarenko's work from the last few years, performed by the author on a guitar and a well-prepared soft-sounding piano.

Guido Kangur is an actor of the Estonian Drama Theater and a long-time promoter of jazz music. As an actor, Guido has played himself into the deep layers of the hearts of the Estonian audience thanks to countless theater roles, his special charisma and certainly a convincing voice. Guido has received numerous awards for his creative activities, including the Valgetähe IV class medal and the cultural award of the Republic of Estonia. Oleg Pissarenko is an Estonian musician, composer and also a long-time promoter of jazz, whose search for musical truth has led him to a minimalistic sound language, sharing it through his guitar and piano playing. Pissarenko has got his several recognitions for creative activities, including the ERR Musician of the Year title and Valgetähé V class merit badge.

The two men are united by jazz and an interest in deep topics.






Held Events:

Internationally recognized piano virtuoso, devoted interpreter of Estonian classical music heritage and senior piano lecturer at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater Sten Lassmann will perform an extensive romantic piano evening at Holdre Castle on October 12. The program includes the most well-known works of the classical repertoire, Bach's "Italian Concerto" and Beethoven's "Appassionata", the passionate and singing piano sonata of Artur Lemba, Chopin's beloved First Ballade, and the most heartbreaking works of the romantic piano repertoire, Liszt's "Mephisto Waltz" and Balakirev's "Islamei".
