Tõnis Mägi’s Author’s Concert “Jäljed”

This is an evening of songs during which the audience can enjoy both
well-known and lesser-known pieces by the musician, as well as
hear stories from the author himself about how the songs were born and memories
from his extraordinarily colorful life, which leaves no true listener untouched.

Doors are open one hour before the concert begins and there will be a short intermission.
On-site, you can refresh yourself with drinks and cakes offered at the café.

Singer and composer Tõnis Mägi was born in Tallinn into a family of musicians.
Since 1965, he has played and sung in numerous bands, including during the years 1990–1993,
when he lived in Sweden.

More than ten albums featuring his music have been released. His best-known songs include “Liivakell” ("Hourglass"), “Pimedale muusikule” ("To the Blind Musician"), and “Palve” ("Prayer"). His song “Koit” ("Dawn") was chosen by the Estonian public as the winner of the live broadcast “Eesti otsib lemmiklaulu” (“Estonia Seeks Its Favorite Song”) on May 24, 2009.

He has also written music for plays and acted in films and
theatre productions (“Three Sisters,” “War and Peace,” “Ruja,” “King Ubu,” and more).
He has published the books “Tõnis Mägi: "Müümata naer” (“Unsold Laughter,” co-authored with Berk Vaher in 2006) and “Noodiraamat” (“Sheet Music Book,” 2010).
